When we arrived with our bikes at the place, the owner instantly started to convince us to have some cold drinks at his restaurant. As this was already our plan before and he was really friendly we followed him inside to have two small, cold soft drinks and a bottle of water for later. The drinks were cold, but in our eyes too expensive. With 1000 LKR more than twice the supermarket prices. We never paid this much for drinks on our trip so far.

Lovely family run stall and cafe, the bitter lemon is refreshing and the herbal tea and the roti is freshly made

We had an amazing king coconut here! Loved the vibes and the guy who chopped the coconut was a nice dude!

Stopped here for a quick break while visiting the ruins. Had an amazing rotti with banana and honey cooked on the firepit - you can't get anything more authentic and delicious than this. We also had a lovely chat with the owner and his family, very recommended for the food and local experience feeling.
