Great local coffee spot! Great view of the lake and the owner is lovely. Try the Sri Lankan bean coffee. We got offered a slice of lime which is apparently how the locals drink their mocha coffee. It added an unexpected twist to the coffee which we found really tasty !

Delicious breakfast (we had the fruit salad special and the chicken and cheese sandwich) served by the charming owner, at a very picturesque lakeside location with a stunning variety of local wildlife to spot. Great prices as well. Our favourite breakfast so far!

We decided to come to The Coffee Shop after being dissatisfied with our hotel breakfast, and we're glad we did. We ordered the breakfast for two (omelette filled with vegetables, toast bread, tea/coffee, fresh juice, two sausages and a bowl of fruits). It was a good portion. The staff are so incredible friendly! Unfortunately the owner was late and the staff couldn't make us anything when we first arrived. The server was really polite about the whole situation (as we had hungry kids with us!) and we're happy that we decided to stay. The server was also cooking and making everything (not sure where the manager went), so maybe it would have been quicker if he helped...

Really cute place, run by two women. It was lovely sitting outside with a view of the lake. The egg and cheese sandwich was yum. The food took longer than we expected, but it was all fresh and we could tell it was made with love. The coffee with milk wasn't our favorite, but other tables had milkshakes and cold coffees that looked really good. Overall it was a good find and I hope they continue to do well!

Great refreshing drinks! Great location! We rented the bikes here which helps our stay in Anuradhapura to be very pleasant. The lake is right across the street and there is a 2.5 km paved path around the lake.
