A hela bojun hala operated by Mahaweli Authority. They had a surprisingly wide range of options - pol roti with sambal, string hoppers, lavariya, pan cakes, kiribath, helapa, porridge, peni walalu and etc. They serve plain tea, and some other drinks of medicinal value as well. Everything is dirt cheap but tastes superb. The ladies working there are super nice and supportive. If you're staying at the nearby Mansala, this is the best place to get breakfast on a budget

Very good place for a good bite and a rest. Prices are very reasonable and and food is tasty! Also it’s a support for local communities…

Unlike other Hell Bojun Halas found across the island, this particular one is actually run under Mahaveli Authority. The food, just as in any Hela Bojun Hala, is very cheap, tasty and clean. The ladies working here are very pleasant and kind.

The food at this place is amazing and so so cheap but the most incredible thing are the super friendly ladies working here.. we spent the whole meal laughing and joking around together, also thanks to our driver who could translate. Definitely stop by and enjoy this pearl of a place in Sri Lanka.
