Sometimes you find a place by chance, and it turns into one of the most unforgettable experiences of your life :) After a long train ride to Nuwara Eliya, we randomly found this café, and it was our luckiest day! The owner is incredibly kind and welcoming, and he shared so much passion and knowledge about the history of coffee in Sri Lanka. The café is cozy, the vibe is wonderful, and the coffee… absolutely the best we had in Sri Lanka. He even prepared a V60 for us, guiding us through each flavor layer, it was such a special experience. If you love coffee, don’t miss this place. You won’t find anything like it anywhere else!

An unforgettable experience at Sri Lanka’s first Coffee Museum! Nestled in the misty hills of Nuwara Eliya, the Blackpool Coffee Bungalow is more than just a museum — it’s a beautiful blend of history, nature, and the rich aroma of Sri Lankan coffee. From the warm hospitality to the fascinating stories shared by Asitha, I learned so much about the lost coffee legacy of Sri Lanka. The guided explanation about the history of coffee, its decline and revival, and the hands-on experience of different brewing methods made it incredibly memorable. A must-visit for any traveler looking to explore beyond the usual tourist spots. Truly a hidden gem! 🌿☕🏡

Excellent spot for coffee lovers just outside Nuwara Eliya. Taken through a brief history of coffee and then specifically Sri Lankan coffee history. Single origin roasted coffee. Felt very at chilled and off the beaten track. Zero pressure to buy anything. Excellent made coffees, had mine with coconut milk - unreal! Bought some coffee beans for back home.

This café is truly special, it includes a small museum that tells the story of their coffee plantations and the rich history behind every bean. We were warmly welcomed by one super special guy, who took the time to explain everything to us in detail, from the coffee-making process to the unique story of their farm. We then chose from their menu a delicious coconut milk cappuccino with dark chocolate and their own locally grown Arabica coffee, it was absolutely magnificent.

We had a great experience with interesting information about coffee and its history and we had the best coffee in Sri Lanka. We are very happy that we could buy some for home as well and we are looking forward to even order some. Thank you so much! A place that’s definitely worth visiting and experiencing the great coffee!
