This twelve-day alms-giving, which is given daily throughout the year, is alms-giving to all four quarters, monks, nuns, laypeople, and laywomen. In addition, a daily Buddha Pooja offering is also offered to the Ruwanwaralimaha Seya at noon from the alms-giving. Many people who live in Anuradhapura and come on pilgrimage have their lunch from this alms-giving. The alms-giving is prepared and maintained by various groups for each day, with the help of the staff.
