Wow 👌 👏 😍 👍 🥰

I was on a long bike ride from Sirigya and needed a place to take a pit stop and refreshment break. There were many roadside stalls, some fruit /vegetable stalls and other local cafes on the A13. Missed a few opportunities to stop but resided that I'll stop at the right one. This place is enroute north to Anuradhapura on A13, ~17mins beforehand. Well low and behold I stopped here and I was greeted with beaming smiles by Charith and his wife. He offered me a refreshing fresh king coconut 👌🏽😋🥥💦 While sipping my coconut water I introduced myself to their cute and shy school children. I ended up sampling some delicious corn on the cob which they kindly offered with other treats. They also offer teas/coffee and snacks like traditional hoppers, rotti and dosas, salads and fruits/juices . They are so humble and kind. I ended up hanging out with them for an hour. Left feeling so wholesome after having such an authentic meeting with these lovely locals. Obviously, it's up to you how much you wish to interact with them. They are not imposing at all. It was my choice to fully immerse myself in engaging with them and their children who happen to be home from school. I added this missing cafe to help them get more visibility with travelling locals as well as foreigners. They deserve the business and I really wish them well. Do stop for a fresh coconut 🥥💦 or a coffee to support the locals. 🙏🏽
