We had a lovely stay at Golden pearl for seven days thanks to the friendly host Jax! Sandamalis genuine Sri Lankan cooking is great so we ate at home almost every day. We also took a cooking class with her going to the local market and learning how to make proper curries. The house is nicely renovated with nice amenities and a short walk to the beach which has free sunbeds. The driver Suneth will take you to several beaches and temples for good prices. Would love to come back again!

We had the best time at Golden Pearl House with Jax. It’s such a lovely place- comfortable, stylish well designed space I felt right at home! Not to mention the food. Sandamali makes the BEST food in the whole of Sri Lanka- and what’s more, you can have a cookery lesson with her! Highlight of our trip for sure. Jax was amazing and organised our travel no probs and with just 2 mins from beautiful beach, what more do you need. I can Highly recommend this place. Can’t wait to come back!

This is the perfect place to stay in Sri Lanka, a must for all food lovers! Great location, right by the beautiful Tangalle Beach. The room is spacious, has a very comfy bed and great private bathroom. There is also a private patio and private dining area. The best bit about this place is the food, it was the best food we tasted in the whole of Sri Lanka, this is not an understatement!!! And if that wasn't enough, they also offer an amazing cooking class so you can learn how to make these dreams yourself! Jax is a great host, nothing was ever a problem, she had great local knowledge and was really fun to be around. Sandamali was also great fun and amazing in the kitchen - we ate all of our meals at Golden Pearl, it was just too good to miss. Suneth was also on hand with a car and tuk tuk, taking us anywhere we wanted to go for a very reasonable price. This place has so much going for it, can't wait to be back!

The Golden Pearl House is a wonderful place near the beach in Tangalle in the south of Sri Lanka . The apartment is very nice, furnished and decorated with a excellent sense of taste and the accommodation is perfect. You'll meet kind and friendly people there. All in all, highly recommended.

Jax has been an amazing host. I stayed with her for a week and it was even better than I expected: The room was clean and tidy when I arrived and you can definitely see that the furniture was picked with lots of love. Also I slept like a baby because of the very big and comfy bed. The bathroom is very modern and I love that the house is a perfect combination of modern and traditional Sri Lankan. The beach is a walking distance away (just 1-2 minutes). And even when I had questions about what to do and where do go, Jax and her colleagues would always give me great advices and assist me with all of my needs. Besides this, Sandamalis fresh food is just the best that I had during my stay in Sri Lanka (try the fish! It's absolutely amazing!). So, let me assume: Best host, best place, best food - best stay! Thank you Jax for being so warm and welcoming me like a friend. I will come back - promise!
